      I have received many biopsy report before but this one I am having trouble decoding.
      The biopsy ……… is an inflamed compound nevus with partial dermal regression.
      Any help would be appreciated.

          In a compound nevus, melanocytes are found in both the dermis and the epidermis. … When inflamed, these lesions can become red-brown in color, dermal regression(growth) is confined to the dermis and has not reached the epidermis.
