      Hey everyone!
I’m having my first ever WLE on my abdomen tomorrow and I really have ever no idea what to expect. The surgeon held his thumb and index finger about 4-5 inches apart and said ” your scar will be about this big”. He acted like this isn’t a big deal. He is doing it in his office. I wasn’t nervous until now. Is it more of a thing than the dr acted like?

My journey with this disease is just starting so I can't give you proper advice. Except that I hope all goes well for you tomorrow and the prognosis is good.

Thank you! They think I caught mine fast enough that they can do the WLE today and get it all but we have to wait and see what this biopsy says. I hope everything will be ok for you.

Hi Lamurphy1968, how deep was your primary mole that you had removed and did they have clean margins???

You'll do great. The WLE isn't fun but its not horrible, they will use plenty of modern chemistry to keep you comfortable and depending on whether or not there is a skin graft you will likely heal very quickly…praying for clear margins for you! Mine was right on top of my head and had a good size graft, but even so it isn't terrible and it will be in the rear view mirror before you know it!

                Warrior On!
