Thank you Mike and your wife for helping stray kitties. Even if it is tough, it is a good deed! -

Hi Mike!
Sorry about your sinus pain, but on the bright side better from a sinus infection than a brain tumor!! I looked at your post regarding your scan results- all stable except for the lung! And no new spots! I am glad you are getting a second opinion for your plan on treatment and that nothing new showed up!

I am happy to report that my dad is now over 2 years stable with stage 4 with brain mets! Ipi/nivo for two years (trial ended this spring) and radiation for some of the brain mets. He just got scans results this morning! Happy to share the hope

My father had SRS on two small and one large spot and did not experience any seizures. Hope this helps!

When my dad needed more imaging, the doctor met with him and told him that he needs to do more imaging to get a better picture. I think it is very possible that the technician just needed to get better images.
Hoping for the best for you!

Thank you for responding! I will check out the data from ASCO. My father (and us his family) feel like you do and don’t want to stop but his clinical trial is over (ipi/nivo for brain mets) and his doctor is pushing him to stop. For some reason they said he can only do a large dose monthly if he chooses. I am worried about side effects.. but also scared for him to stop. Do you take it biweekly??

That’s good to hear! Wishing you the best! Did you have a pet scan?

I agree about the pet scan to give us a better idea about the lung. For some reason this doctor just thinks it’s neen good enough and doesn’t want one….
Thank you for sharing your story. It is nice to hear someone else went off treatment with visible spots in the brain. I was afraid my dad was the only one! I totally understand the feeling of “it’s been good for so long, when will it stop?” But hopefully it won’t! We are lucky to be in that comfort zone 🙂
