Welcome.  I'm on a combo of Opdivo + Yervoy for right side of my head.  Just finished my 2nd infusion, and have two more to go (one every 3 weeks).  Then a PET scan to check it out after the 4th infusion  All Summer long they had me on Keytruda in which the tumor double in size.  I've been fighting this stuff since Spring of 2015, therfore I'm into the more toxic stuff.  Started as a little black dot between my right ear lobe and my sideburn.  Long story…..short, they took my entire right ear,,,,ear canal.. and mastoid bone in Spring of 2016.  Desmoplastic Mellanoma returned this past Spring, and have been pretty miserable all Summer  No causeitive factords except lots of fishing on Old Hickery and Percy Priest.  Hope to have good news in this December.  Hope all turns out fine for you.

I'll have my 3rd infusion of Keytruda on 7-31-17, and I'm waiting for the side effect shoe to drop at some point.  Having been through the Cisplatin, Textera, 5-FU  chemo plan and 35 rounds of radiation for Tonsil Cancer eight years ago, I just can't believe the lack of side effects for this dermaplastic Melanoma at the rear of my right jaw.  Maybe it's a cumulative thing…..I don't know.  But so far only a little fatigue.

I've only had to infusion treatments so far (6-19 & 7-10-2017).  I felt somewhat tired on the day after, but being 69, I'm a little tired anyway.  I go to fitness center 4 times a week for 2 hours each and workout fairly hard on the treadmill and elipticals.  Can't say that I've seen any slow down since starting on Keytruda.  There is a short burning sensation in my jaw area at night, but it doesn't last very long…….so far.

Yes, I have Desmoplastic Melanoma….stage 3-B (I think), and am currently using Keytruda Immunotherapy treatment.  This is my third time in 3 years to have Melanoma in the lower right jaw and right ear area.  Surgeons took my right ear…ear canal….and Mastoid bone and some nerves both above and below my right eye.  I can't have radiation due to having sooooo much of it back in 09 when I had left Tonsil Cancer.  Amazingly, the Keytruda has really no side effects (for me, anyway) except some tiredness a couple of days after infusion.  Infusions are every three weeks for the next two years is the protocol, and I'll have my third on the 31st of July.  Tumour is about the size of a quarter on nerves near my right jaw hinge.  Scans will be taken after every four infusions to check on progress or lack of progress.  Go get em T-Cells.

May, 2016 I had my right ear……ear canal….and mastoid bone removed due to recurrant Melanoma.  Flap from my left thigh was made to cover area.  All margins were reported as clear.  Damn stuff returned inside the flap in April of 2017.  Placed on Keytruda throughout this past Summer, and most recent PET showed tumour had doubled in size.  Have had one infusion of Opdivo + Yervoy, and side effects have been somewhat harsher but tolerable.  Have no idea how long this protocol will last.  Oncologist say till it works.  Working on eating and staying hydrated.
