53 year old husband and father of 3. Mole on my neck for years, only bacame an issue after cutting it while shaving. It turned ugly and went to my doctor who showed concerns as soon as he saw it and 2 weeks later removed it leaving me with 4 stitches. Today I went for my follow up and found it was melanomia but it is “clear”. He is referring me to a plastic surgeon and he is recommending further removal just to be safe. I dont kmow much about this but after reading about it today, I have to say that I am scared. I should hear back from the doctor’s office with the plastic surgeon appointment on Tuesday.
Does anyone have any advise?
