I will actually be having MOHS in one week for MIS on my scalp. I had an atypical mole removed twice since 2006 and now it is back and MIS. When I met the surgeon after he biopsy he determined (using a black light device) that there are dark cells (that you can't otherwise see) in a much larger area than the original mole and previous scars. So he is going to perform surgery and somehow stitch me back up, possibly using a piece of skin from another "hair bearing" area of my head. I think in my case, they want to make sure they get it all… but save as much scalp as possible. I am more nervous than I ever was before. I hope it remains in situ… but I fear I will be "re-staged."

I am reading a couple posts here about Mel in Situ and MOHS. This post is very positive for me as I face MOHS in a week for MIS on my scalp. Sounds like my "open mine" will be about 2 inches and may have to be closed up with another piece of hair bearing scalp from somewhere…
But the piece here that makes me laugh is the "carpet layer knee kicker." And, I too, am hoping this gives me a free facelift.

They did not stipulate what type of mel. So I will have to wait until I see the surgeon in a week-and-a-half.
I am probably more concerned about the surgery itself at this point! On the bright side, if the incision is large enough and they pull it together I will get a free facelife in the process.
Janner…. I am always happy to help friends with photography questions. Not sure you can PM me but you can probably find me on line. ๐
