Bio

I am a 63 year old woman, mother of two boys, married and a pattern maker. I was diagnosed with melanoma in August, 2011. I had a wart in the same area 20 years earlier (which was removed) and at first, I just thought the wart had come back. I kept thinking that I had to have that stupid wart removed. It was pink and kind of crinkly at the top, just like a wart. When it started to change colors, I knew something was up and went in to see the doctor. I found out it was malignant melanoma.
