When my wife Joyce has SRS, which was 6 years ago, we did not notice any facial swelling and the only noticeable redness was around the four very small superficial skin punctures created by the four "pressure points" used to hold the "halo" in place. For each of these, she was instructed to keep them clean (for a few days she had small band-aid spots on the 2 at her forehead) and check for any lingering redness (which might indicate a local skin infection). On her 1 week after visit to the radiation oncologist, he checked to see that they had or were healing and she never experienced any problems. I hope that your SRS goes as well and as smoothly,
