I also have stage 4 melemona and couldn't use the left side of my body. I had 7 tumers in my brain. They removed 3 of them and did a gamma knife procedure for the other 4. I then received 2 of 4 infusions of Yervoy. So far so good (both sides of my body work now) , but still have weakness. maybe gamma knife or Yervoy will work for her. Can't hurt to try.

I had a mole that was growing and ignored it. I finially got a biopsy and had it removed it was Stage 2 melanoma. after 3 1/2 years I was having trouble with movement on the left side of mu body, my wife took me to the emergency room where we found out that the melanoma had spread to my brain (14 tumors) and my lungs (3 tumors). Metatastic melanoma!
I had to have 2 crainiomonys, 2 gamma knife procedures, and 4 infusions.
Don't wait get it checked and removed!

I had a melanoma removed 3 years ago (stage 2). they found nothing in the lymph nodes and found nothing in a new CT, MRI or PET scans.
In nov 2013 I had trouble with my left leg and arm, my wife took me to the emergency room.
They did a CT scan and then an MRI and found 7 tumers in my brain.
They removed 3 tumers surgically, and then did a gamma knife procedure for the other 4.
I was in the hospital for 2 weeks and had pt at home for another week. I now have control of my body again.
I am now getting YERVOY infuesions every 3 weeks (completed 3 of 4). There is a 20% 3 year survival rate with this.
I get another MRI next week.
It seams melanoma never leaves the body.
