Bio

I am 52 yrs. old, married to a great guy for almost 2 decades, and we have a wonderful son together. I graduated from nursing May 2008 with honors and went through the whole stage III melanoma process while in school. I look back and wonder how I stayed focused enough to study. Amazing what we can do.

Stage IV in May 2011 during annual PET/CT scan. I was asymptomatic, so the annual scan saved me. I am taking time off work to fight this battle, but really, I try to be a peace with all of it. Not always easy but being at peace is certainly better than being in turmoil. I have embraced the challenge of living every day being the best I can.
