Bio

In 2012 I retired from teaching after 39 years. I do some substituting and care for 2 grandchildren while our daughter finishes her degree. The two children on the left in my picture are now 10 and 3. The boy in my lap is almost 4, has a little brother almost 2, and another sibling on the way. Life is good.

Update: 2013: Still no sign of the beast, melanoma. I have CT scans, chest xray, and blood work once a year. It is now up to me what I choose to continue with. One doctor wants me to cont. this routine until 2017, when I am 10 years out from my recurrence. I plan on trying to do so, although health insurance and finances may overrule my plan.
