I am the only child of this wonderful man, who without metastatic melanoma, would have surely lived into his 90s, and my mom and I want all of that time. My future children need to know their grandfather, and vice versa. I will not give up. For better or for worse, I myself am a physician, and I feel that I have both the privilege and the burden of finding my dad’s cure, his holy grail, so to speak. Given the way melanoma treatment has advanced in only the past few years, that may well exist. I’d appreciate any words of wisdom or input about your treatment decisions and how they have affected you, especially regarding immunotherapy.
