        Just for peace of mind, have it checked.  Insist on a biopsy if that will help you feel better.  You know the signs of melanoma and are understandably worried.  Do it!!

          If your insurance pays, go for it!  I agree with the previous post about the necessity of a good closure.

                  A friend had a white melanoma.  I'd get it checked by a dermatologist just to be safe.
