Thanks Janner… it is tough standing up to these doctors and telling them no. I truly feel like it's not necessary and I can't afford another $5000 of scans without any symptoms.

        Thank you!

Thank you very much for your response! I truly don't want more radiation and I don't believe it is necessary. I feel at times this doctor may get upset if/when I question him, but it's my health. I don't have any family history of cancer at all. Years on the beaches and in tanning beds too.

            Thank you again!

very interesting…thank you! I'm just not convinced it will do me any good at this point. I feel like it will give me much more anxiety.

Thank you very much! I agree. I just don't know why I would get the test. Sure…I'd like to have results telling me I"m in Category 1 but nothing is a guarantee. Also, If it came back showing I'm at high risk, then what? I can't really do any treatments until it comes back. And if it does return, does it mean it will return as a mole or internally? I think this test will give me even more stress and I should just continue with my plan — I see my dermatologist every three months and I even see my surgical oncologist every three months where he does an ultrasound on my lymph nodes (under my arm and in the groin area).

                      Thanks again!

                                  Thank you, Ed.

I do trust my doctors and have good ones. Thanks! I'm just so confused as to why my surgical oncologist wants me to have another pet scan this summer (June will be one year) when no symptoms are present. He is a melanoma and breast cancer surgical oncologist.
