Bio

I’m a 43 year old female. I grew up on the beaches in Destin, Florida. My mom was diagnosed with Melanoma In-Situ at 65 years old. She is now 83 years old. I was diagnosed with Stage 1A Melanoma on left flank – .75mm; un-ulcerated. I had a wide excision surgery along with one lymph node in the groin removed. My doctor is very proactive and didn’t want to take any chances with “guessing” if it spread or not. I also had brain MRI and PET scan as precaution. All scans came back clean and margins are widely clear.
