Bio

I am a wife, mother of two boys and grandmother (Meme) to many. In April this year, 2023, I was diagnosed with melanoma in my left eye on the iris.  I was treated with brachytherapy. I also elected to have a biopsy of the tumor and it revealed that it was a Class 2 which puts me at a high risk for metastasis    As of early August this year a sonogram showed a reduction in the size of the tumor, from approx 8mm to approx 3mm. I have an appointment in October to discuss the possibility of getting injections of Bevacizumab to possibly stop the progression of vision loss  I’m still undecided on this because of the side effects it can cause

Along with this opthamology treatments I have an oncologist who I see every 3 months after a CT chest, MRI abdomen and complete blood work. so far so good, no sign of metastasis.

Just trying to remain positive and lots of praying.
