From what I’ve seen melanoma could change dramatically after years and would totally be noticable. But I completely understand your worry, and it’s a good thing to check with the dermatologist for peace of mind. Also, I’ve never heard of a melanoma being smaller then 1mm but I have heard that melanoma moles smaller then 2mm are nearly 100% curable. But still, I highly doubt that it is. But other then that. Sometimes being too worrying about cancer is worse then cancer itself.-

Also I found this “Malignant tumors are overgrowths of abnormal cells (cancer) that divide without control and order. They do not stop growing, even when they come into contact with nearby cells. As malignant tumors grow, they squeeze surrounding healthy tissue and prevent their normal function.”
