Thank you Celeste! My doc tells me the same thing! Sometimes it might appear worse before it gets better. It's hard to be patient with the process but I hold steady! Thank you again for the info!

Thanks Brian! I actually did 4 rounds of Yervoy last fall and they had me do a Pet Scan in December to see how well it worked. That scan showed my original tumor was still growing. So, per the treatment plan, they had me come back in 4 weeks and do ANOTHER pet scan this past January and there was no change in my tumor..but it never showed any other major spots. That's when they decided to put me into a trial. On Feb 19th I had a CT and brain MRI and there were no extra spots then either. This second spot literally just popped up within the last 2 months. Very aggrevating when you're doing everything you're suppose to do and more confusion gets thrown into the mix. Thanks for the luck and best wishes to you as well! πŸ™‚

Hi Ed!  Yes! The fatigue always gets me the day of the infusion. I'm usuallly upbeat when I go in and barely holding my head up when I walk out.  We live about hour from the hospital and I always take a pillow and blanket so I can curl up in the car on the way home. My last infusion seemed to strike me harder than before so I'm not sure what to expect this Thursday for my 3rd infusion. I crashed really hard last time so I'm prepparing for the same. My trial runs in 8 week cycles.   They haven't scheduled my first scan yet but I was told by my study coordinator it should  be around the beginning of May. I'm actually looking forward to it and that's something I've NEVER said about a scan. HA! I feel like we've finally found something that's working and giving us hope! Thanks for support and best wishes to you as well!!  πŸ™‚ Niki

Thank you so much for pointing me towards some info! They gave me a 30 pg binder of the trial to read over but I like hearing from people. I go in next Friday to start my pre-screening (brain mri, chest ct, blood work, a tumor biopsy..ect) and we're shooting for my first treatment to start March 3rd. I will keep in touch! Thank you again!
