        Jim,

I, too, have just recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 melanoma, so I know how you are feeling.  But you are luckier than I because yours was only 1mm in depth, whereas mine was 6.5, and I've learned that that size qualifies my melanoma as "THICK" melanoma which has a much lower anticipated survival rate 🙁  So by comparison you are LUCKY 🙂  My thoughts and prayers will be with you as you go for your surgery tomorrow.  I will be looking forward to how it goes and how you are doing afterwards, as the same surgery appears to be in my future.

Inger, You are right, this support group is TOPS for making one feel better.  I had no idea MM could affect one in the nasal cavity.  Are you in a lot of pain?  Does this affect your breathing?  Are you on an oxygen machine?  You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks Hazel for your upllifting message.  It is really appreciated 🙂

I am seeing a melanoma oncologist at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Fl who I am very impressed with.  He's been here for some 9 years and has previously been at Sloane Kettering in NYC and M.D. Anderson in Houston.
