I had a wide local excision on my shoulder this week. Granted, I am 35 and the surgery was in a different site, but I found it pretty straightforward so far for recovery. I was up and moving around after the anesthesia wore off. I can’t do any heavy lifting or strenuous until stitches come out, but that is to be expected. My pain has been pretty minimal too, and after the pain pill they gave me at the hospital, I haven’t needed to take anything since. Best of luck to you!
