I was diagnosed Stage for in January of 2015, with mets throughout both lungs, and I took two course of the ipi/nivo combo therapy, which caused meningitis, hepatitis, and insulin-dependent diabetes. I was hospitalized for two weeks.

        NED by October of 2015.

I continue to deal with the insulin-dependent diabetes, but I’ll take the trade!

Praying for you. Keep up the good fight!

I prayed a 15 decade Rosary for you at Mass on Saturday.

I was diagnosed Stage 4 with mets throughout my lungs in January of 2015.

I was only able to receive two of four infusions of the ipi/nivo combo in April of 2015 before treatment was stopped due to auto-immune hepatitis, meningitis, and diabetes.

I was hospitalized for two weeks, but CT scans revealed that the treatment was working, and I was NED by October of 2015.

Prayers that it works as well for you as it did for me.

At each of my follow-up appointments I ask my oncologist at the University of Michigan if he knows of anyone with a total response to immunotherapy that has had a recurrence, and, as of my last appt in October, he had not.

I keep up with these boards to check on any such recurrences, and yours is the first I’ve seen.

I will keep you and your family in my daily Rosary, Ashley.
