Hi Ocelot,I too am a patient from Canada (please see my profile for details) May I ask where you guys are located? I am in Ontario and even with Stage III patients like myself that are NED they do not perform scanning (PET,CT or MRI) unless there is convincing evidence of probable disease. I think the best thing to do right now is to go through with the SLNB and hopefully all is all clear. Once you have the results of that then you and your medical team can decide what to do next.
Best of luck to your fiancée

I enjoyed running a lot up until this summer when I had my diagnosis. I had my CLND in September and have recovered pretty well from it. I have not attempted distance running but short jogs here and there seem to be all I can handle for now. I notice it now that when I speed walk/jog my groin area starts to hurt quite a bit. May be just because my body is still healing though. Im sure we will get back into it as soon as were ready…. and now that its winter its pretty cold here to run 🙂

Thanks Brian 🙂
And yes I am still taking my Vitamin C and other supplements… seems to be helping me in overall wellness more than anything. My fiancee and I are moving to Australia in a few weeks to live and work for a year as it as always been a dream of mine. (My dermatologist laughed and said you are going to the melanoma capital of the world) Guess ill just have to be extra careful with the sun down there!
