Bio

I am wife, caregiver, general butt kicker, taxi driver, and all things to my dear husband of 10 years who was diagnosed in June of 2015.

Robert was diagnosed with Stage IIIC malignant melanoma in June and has since undergone 2 surgeries for the cancer and one for a detached retina that happened during the same time. He’s getting ready to start a one-year course of alpha interferon treatment.

He is the father of 3 children and stepfather to 2, ranging in age from 10 years to 23. He is a husband, brother, uncle, and dear friend. He has served his country in both the US Navy and in law enforcement. He’s been shot, stabbed, undergone quadruple bypass surgery, and now this.

UPDATE: We had to stop treatment in Dec 15 because he developed congestive heart failure. Here it is Oct 16 and the cancer is back in his lungs and lymphatic system.
