Hi Melissa,
I recently also had a shaved biopsy done but on my head. The mole that the dermatologist removed had been there for years but he said that it had uneaven coloring and edges which is why he wanted to have it tested. I haven't heard back yet but I am waiting on the results.
It sounds like your doctor needs to make sure that it is non-cancerous which is why they are brining you in a second time. I would wait for the results and ask plenty of questions during the appointment to help ease any worry.
Best of luck!

Hi Cindy,
I am sorry you are going through this. Government insurance could be an option that you can look into. Speaking with hospital staff about your coverage options may be helpful as well- they often can give suggestions and point you in the right direction.
I recently had a dermatologist appointment and had to have a biopsy done on a mole on my head that didn't look too good. I am still waiting for the results and have been doing some research on this to prepare and inform myself.
Hope everything goes well for you!
