            Emily:

I was on the Roche BRAF from May – October 2010.  Had a great response at first and then my tumors started growing again.  After I stopped the Roche BRAF, it's like my melanoma went crazy and things grew substantially fast.  I have heard this is common.  But on Wednesday, 2/23/10 I started on GSK BRAF/MEK and am AMAZED how fast my subcutaneous tumors are shrinking.  I have been sending pics via my cell phone to my friends and family.  It's just remarkable.  To me, it looks like it's shriveling up and dying.   Dying!  How nice to use that word in regards to melanoma going away!

This is so encouraging!  I start GSK BRAF/MEK next week.  After I saw your post, I wanted to sing all day.  I've got some nasty looking tumors coming out of my leg, also, not as bad as Eric's.  I've been following your story on here but don't post much.   Please keep us updated, Jill.  Our best days are in front of us!

Jill:  Since I have been reading your posts, I think about you and Eric often.  I too hope to get on this trial in February.    Please continue with the updates.  Keep on keeping on!

Janice:  I am also Stage 3 and was put on PLX4032 in May and taken off it in October because my  tumors started to grow again.  I'm finding this is the response for most people.  Going to try Ipi in a few weeks.  I had hair loss and joint pain, my wrists/shoulders ached.  Sun sensitivity!  5 minutes in the sun and my body reacted like it was 5 hrs.   Email me Janice if you have more questions.  [email protected]

Just wondering which one did you go with?  Ipi or BRAF.  I'm on BRAF currently but might be switching to Ipi after my next CT scans.  I think my tumors are growing again.  Finish strong.
